Nucleus is looking for volunteers to assist with grocery shopping for consumers who are unable to do shopping for themselves and for escorts to medical appointments and other activities with WheelTrans or other accessible transport.

Requirements

To be a volunteer for Nucleus you need to be comfortable interacting with consumers and driving and enjoy grocery shopping.

The volunteer schedule may vary, based on the consumer’s needs. Any spare time that you have to offer will be greatly appreciated.

All volunteers are required to have a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record and Nucleus will undertake a Police Reference Check on all candidates.

Training, Orientation and Supervision

Training, orientation and supervision will be provided by the Team Coordinators of the Supportive Housing Programs and all volunteers will be reimbursed for kilometres used and whatever parking costs are incurred.
