Helping Us Improve Our Programs and Policies

The purpose of the Consumer and Family Advisory Council (CFAC) is to provide Nucleus with advice on how our programs and policies can better reflect the needs of our Consumers and to help us understand how we can improve the quality and safety of the services we provide.

Photo of travel mugThe CFAC brings together people with a variety of service experiences who can provide input into how Nucleus delivers services initiatives, or projects and share ideas for areas that could be improved in order to enhance the experience of receiving services from Nucleus. For example, this could include providing advice on policies, procedures, communication strategies, staff training/orientation, program development and consumer experience survey results. Working collaboratively and from a positive lens, the CFAC acts as a sounding board and support for Nucleus leadership and staff by sharing and reflecting on personal experiences and best practices within the whole health care system and helping us understand how we can enhance our partnership with Nucleus consumers, family members and/or caregivers to enhance the quality of our services.
