QUALITY OF CARE
Fostering a Culture of Quality and Safety
A focus on quality and safety is at the cornerstone of everything we do at Nucleus. Each year, we prepare a board-approved Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) that aligns with local and provincial priorities and focuses our attention on key actions that lead to better service for consumers.

Nucleus has been accredited by CARF International since 2013.
CARF International is an independent, non-profit accreditor of health and human services whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centres on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
Nucleus was last surveyed in 2019 at which time we received CARF International’s Three Year Accreditation Award, the highest level of Accreditation that can be awarded to an organization. This is Nucleus’ 3rd consecutive three year award from CARF International. Accreditation is a rigorous process in which Nucleus voluntarily participates to demonstrate our commitment to delivering programs and services that are of the highest quality.
Nucleus’ next Accreditation survey will take place in 2022.
