Building Community Knowledge and Practice Through Innovative and Accessible Education and Training

Nucleus is pleased to administer the Mississauga Halton LHIN’s Regional Learning Centre on behalf of the community support sector. Continuing education and training is essential to enhance quality of care support our teams to advance their knowledge and skills. The Mississauga Halton LHIN’s Regional Learning Centre is passionate about building capacity in the community by offering education and training programs rooted in best-practice to meet the increasingly complex healthcare needs of people living and being cared for in their homes.

The Regional Learning Centre is a central education and training hub for direct care providers and informal caregivers in the community sector. Here they have access to a comprehensive curriculum of programs and learning facilities designed to strengthen their skills and abilities so that they are better prepared to address the evolving needs of consumers, clients and patients across the region.

“The RLC recognizes the critical importance of mental well-being and self-care for all employees, and offers “The Working Mind” mental health courses, as well as a course on self-care, Compassion Fatigue.
