Our
Short-Stay Respite program provides a
break for caregivers.
SHORT-STAY RESPITE
It's okay to need a break from your caregiving role. This program temporarily provides care and a room at the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence while you're away.
How it works
The Short-Stay Respite program allows caregivers to take a break while someone else steps in to fulfill their responsibilities of looking after their loved one. Our Central Registry team helps you access short-stay respite care at the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence (OSCR).
Respite Providers
Our services are provided by skilled Care Coordinators and Respite Advisor for intake and assessment. All direct care is provided by the dedicated staff at the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence (OSCR).
Respite Services
During the short-stay, individuals have full access to all of OSCR’s programs, activities and entertainment. All personal care, exercise plan and medication management needs will be carefully planned by OSCR's trained Coordinators.
Eligibility & Cost
Must be 18 years of age or older, medically stable and living in the community. Eligibility is determined through a standard assessment. There is a daily fee (approx. $70 per night)
Regional Access
Central Registry - our centralized intake program - helps connect you with the right care, at the right time, to meet your needs.
