Activity Kits for Isolated Seniors Pilot

Nucleus and Seniors Life Enhancement Centres (SLEC) will be conducting a new pilot initiative that provides activity kits designed to meet the holistic needs of adults/seniors in the community who are experiencing isolation. Nucleus has selected 65 of our most isolated consumers to pilot this with between January – April 2021. Activity kits include trivia, crossword puzzles, colouring books, strengthening exercises, cards, etc. and are replenished on a monthly basis.
Care Coordinators will be delivering kits to consumer homes as well as doing a check-in on their wellbeing. The kits include instructions, frequently asked questions, links to instructional videos as well as SLEC’s contact information. Consumers are encouraged to contact SLEC if they have questions and/or want specific additional items in their kits. The materials in the kits have been generously donated and are free to Nucleus’ consumers.
