The Staff Experience Council is a high impact working group that has hit the ground running and is actively driving results! Comprised of 13 dedicated Nucleus employees, the Council represents all roles, programs, and experience levels. This powerful group brings incredible depth to our mission: they collectively speak 17 different languages and contribute over 100 years of organizational experience. This unique and rich perspective makes them the essential subject matter experts needed to guide and execute our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion work plan.

SEC is focused on improving provider work-life, its influence is already extending to the client experience. Demonstrating tangible progress, the team has successfully conceptualized and initiated an innovative approach to client engagement by utilizing language cards to overcome communication barriers.

The Council maintains a regular meeting schedule to ensure a consistent platform for members to share unique voices, discuss areas of concern, and advise on practical solutions for our annual initiatives.

Current Strategic Focus: Implementation Feedback and Analysis

SEC is currently strategically discussing, analyzing, and making proposals for several major organizational improvements. Their work is crucial for gathering feedback on the implementation of:

• Total Rewards Enhancements: Analyzing the communication and rollout of the new HOOPP Pension Plan and reviewing the structure of the Long Term Service Awards to ensure they are impactful and equitable.
• Cultural Excellence: Deep diving into Great Place To Work (GPTW) initiatives and making actionable proposals to embed GPTW principles into our daily culture and operations.
• Social Responsibility: Initiating discussions and proposals regarding meaningful Indigenous initiatives, focusing on education, reconciliation, and developing respectful community partnerships.
