Make Meaningful Connections to Combat Isolation
Virtual Companion Calls connects isolated seniors with volunteers to make great social connections.

The demand for social connection in seniors has never been higher. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it increasingly challenging to stay connected with friends, family and communities, leaving many feeling isolated and lonely. This is why Nucleus has partnered with CompanionLink to connect clients with trained volunteers to combat isolation.
With funding from Ontario Health's Virtual Care Program, Nucleus and CompanionLink are implementing a new service that matches clients with CompanionLink volunteers for regular virtual calls to build strong social connections and minimize feelings of isolation.
